The Enviroment:
On the Murgia, the green heart of Puglia, full of Trulli and caves, stands an impressive hotel surrounded by pastureland, oaks and walnut trees. Situated in an old country house, once a farm, the Abate Masseria hotel and resort is the product of a careful restoration project that, with patience and passion, has brought the stones in the trulli and in the dry-stone walls, which surround them, back to life. The scent of the flowers and grass, the morning bird-song and the colourful sky at sunset combine perfectly with the charm and technology completing the comfort of your stay and making it unforgettable. Today the masseria aims, through the quietness of the nature and the surrounding white limestone pinnacles, to provide unique relaxation, thanks to the attentive family run management.
Being Responsible
In the simplicity of an old country home, where the essential aromas of the countryside and the authenticity of the Apulian flavors are combined to the genuine hospitality of a caring family, you will discover Abate Masseria & Resort. A few miles from Noci, one of the most beautiful villages of Apulia, the hotel is the result of a patient work of restoration that has made new the stones of the trulli, old barns and stone walls that surround it.
How you will reside
Arranged in a horseshoe shape inside the masseria, some of them look out onto the pool, others have direct access to the small flowery courtyard. All of the rooms have one feature in common: the wonderful and relaxing view of the green countryside with ancient olive trees, rich smells and the colours and sounds of the Puglian landscape.
There are eight rooms in total: three junior suites in trulli, four ‘camere comfort’ and a small room in a trullo specially adapted for disabled guests.
They all have unique atmospheres in which you can re-find the harmony of your inner being, surrounded by unmatchable peace. The masseria has a variety of conveniences to satisfy every need guaranteeing maximum comfort throughout your stay. Seek privacy in the courtyards and other secluded spots or relax in the delightful lounge bar with a snack and a refreshing drink by the pool.
How you will eat
The barrel volt and the old mangers bear witness to the fact that the modern day restaurant was at one time used as an animal shelter. The old stable has been transformed into ‘Il Briale’, a refined restaurant, by the wise and creative hand of architect Anna Stella Tinelli. The name of the restaurant is taken from the local dialect meaning a ‘single large dish’. Traditionally this dish was placed in the centre of the table and every diner helped themselves to their portion of the food. This is yet another example of the humble but dignified rural culture, the equal division of what little food there was. Fresh local products form the basis of the tasty recipes which join tradition with innovation to create the smells and tastes of the past. It is easy to indulge in moments of conviviality, pampered by the chef’s excellence and in choosing a perfect Puglian wine to accompany your meal from our wine cellar.During the summer, enjoying the cool evening air and the masseria’s luscious green surroundings, it is possible to eat outside in cosy and relaxing atmosphere complemented by excellent service.
