Being Responsible
Bio Remota is one of the most spectacular eco-tourism operations in Chile’s Patagonia combining breathtaking experiences in expeditions, cuisine and hospitality. Environment friendly is the ideal location to discover the Patagonia. Remota offers a more rounded experience of Patagonia than simply ticking off sights in Torres del Paine. Explore the local culture and geology, and take time to look at resident flora and fauna. Just sitting in the hotel gives you contact with nature.
The most well known attraction of the area is Torres del Paine National Park, created in 1959, was declared a World Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1978. In spite of the fact that the entire region is a natural and cultural reserve, the park itself is one of the best-known attractions in the world.
No one who has visited Torres del Paine can forget the view of the sun cast upon the park’s tall peaks, coloring the tips of the Cuernos (Horns), the Paine Grande peak, the Espada Peak, or the Shark’s Fin Peak in pink tones. By foot, van or kayak, the view of Torres del Paine will always be a high point of a trip to Patagonia. All in Remota is responsible and sustainable.
How you will reside
Fascinating contemporary architecture, stimulates the visual senses and definitely enhances your experience of the great outdoors.
The design is simple and minimal, with hallmark touches like the wind-swept slant of window frames, mimicking the wind-blown Patagonian buildings, slate floors, and the fragrant presence of pale smooth “lenga wood” – from the trees you'll find throughout the park.
Stunning modernist design, Jacuzzis with a view, long black sheds snake across the grass, broken by the glow from irregular trapezoid windows. If Remota is intriguing on the outside, it's breathtaking within. Endless white corridors are flooded with light; floor to ceiling windows bring in vast views of sky, water and distant mountains. Grasses grow right up to the walls, and chic indoor campfires waft around wood smoke: all to maintain your connection with the magnificent natural surroundings. The hotel’s architecture is an invitation to stop and meditate on the trip’s experience, in the splendor of the remote.
Remota offers 72 spacious double rooms, 32 mq each, including a private bath with hair dryer. Every room offers a view of Ultima Esperanza Bay, the Balmaceda Glacier and the Paine Mountain Range. There is no television in the rooms. There is a special room for music, cinema and television, including some international news services. The whole effect is calming, if slightly spartan, and very cosy.

The Architect hopes guests will forget their busy lives while they're in Remota.
