The Etna Golf Resort & Spa stands on the slopes of a property extending over 55 hectares bordering the Etna Park. The Hotel provides a view of the top of the volcano, and is surrounded by an 18-hole golf course that winds round the hotel. Add to this the Resort’s superb situation, close to the Gole dell’Alcantara (Alcantara Gorge) and only a short distance from Taormina, and guests can relax, in elegance and comfort, surrounded by the green of Sicily, while enjoying top quality service.
Being Responsible
The sustainability of this hotel can be understood by analyzing its location: it’s just 25 min far from the city of Taormina and the Etna volcano and it is situated in a natural protected area among the Etna Park, the Nebrodi’s Park and the Fluviale Park. As a consequence of this position we can understand how environment is important for this hotel since it has to be protected from pollution and human actions in order to guarantee a qualitative offer.

The feature of the 98 rooms and suites of the Resort is the uninterrupted view of the vineyards, orchards and woods that rise on Etna. Every single room provides the best comforts for the guest withal the modern technologies but the hotel also propose a mixture of modern and old local furniture.

Drawing on so many civilizations and cultures, it's correct to say that what today is called “fusion food” was born in Sicily. To all of this, our Restaurant adds its international influence. Decorated with a drapery of Bougainvillea, it's a place where the richness of the territory finds its highest expression in fanciful preparations and refined presentations. The cellar, full of excellent wines produced by the local wineries, offers tasting and surprising food and wine pairings. Candle light, comfortable sofas, tempting appetizers and an ample selection of wines for our Bar that well represents the surrounding territory

With a SPA Centre extending over 950 m2, you are spoiled for choice between the sauna, Turkish bath, hydromassage, water paradise, hydrotherapy pool, hairdresser’s, relaxation room, juice bar, and face and body treatment rooms. There is also a large fitness room, set up with the most modern equipment.
The 18-hole, par 72 Picciolo Golf Club is 5.870 metres long and offers a driving range and pitch and put green. Various other activities can be practised in the hotel or in the immediate vicinity, such as, for example: quad biking, trekking, mountain biking, horse riding, free-climbing, excursions on quads or trail bikes.
The Picciolo Golf Club, the first 18-hole golf course in Sicily, is set in a natural amphitheatre on the northern slope of the mountain, inside Etna Park, between the municipalities of Randazzo, Linguaglossa and Castiglione di Sicilia. The holes, set in the dark lava rock left by the eruption of 1960, have been designed by the architect Luigi Rota Caremoli, the only Italian to be admitted to the British Institute of Golf Course Architects. He was able to make superb use of the 44 hectares of hilly land, and the technical obstacles fit so well into the landscape that the course seems to be completely natural.
The hotel can also be used for events and congress, since it provides 6 meeting rooms, characterized by all the new technologies which guarantee the maximum efficiency.
